Dr Grant Ballard-Tremeer has over 10 years experience in the field of project development, knowledge management, project evaluation, training and capacity building in sustainable development and has worked on consultancy projects in energy and environment for a wide range of international, government and private sector clients.

Work experience
His work focuses on countries in Europe and the CIS, but he also has significant experience in Africa and Asia. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, and Member of the Energy Institute. Grant is director of Eco, a consultant firm based in London, working in energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainable development in Eastern Europe and in numerous developing countries. He is on the board of the HEDON Household Energy Network (www.hedon.info) an informal network with over 3000 members worldwide.
Education
Grant graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa in 1991 with a BSc in Mechanical Engineering. He has a BTEC Certificate in Energy Management, and a Masters in Environmental Management and Policy from the University of Amsterdam.
