News: E Co. at the Oxford University Careers service

10 March 2022, Category: All insights, News

On the 1st March 2022, E Co. Consultant Debasmita Boral Rolland spoke at the University of Oxford Careers service panel on Working in International Policy and Development

Gender perspectives in climate finance

“There is progressive inclusion of gender perspectives in climate finance and bilateral climate ODA flows – reflective of the understanding that climate change is not only a threat multiplier but that it has gendered impacts.

One of the exciting aspects of working at E Co is that I can continue to locate my work in this nexus of climate and gender justice, and contribute tangibly by identifying drivers and opportunities for increased gender equality through project design – ranging from topics such as ecosystem-based adaptation to climate-resilient WASH.

Without gender mainstreaming and the inclusion of different gender groups as beneficiaries, project objectives will be limited in terms of impact, sustainability and replicability,” Debasmita reflected at the event. Read Debasmita’s full E Co. profile here.
