In a nutshell, tell us about yourself.

I was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, a small island nation. I have an academic background in urban planning and environment management, and I have been working in the international research landscape for the past three years. The best part about my bachelor’s degree was how it opened numerous travel opportunities, allowing me to visit various landscapes and observe cities from a more grounded perspective. This experience also equipped me with the ability to think more strategically about the future.

This strategic thinking drove me to pursue a master’s in environment management, where I conducted impactful scientific research focused on understanding the effects of climate change on our dynamic world. I take great pleasure in presenting research findings through compelling data stories, making complex information accessible and actionable.
