Svitlana Valerko

In a nutshell, tell us about yourself.
I grow up in a small Ukrainian town, among forests and fields, all the time reading books and dreaming about doing something important. And here I am – working in a company with a global influence, and I am a small part of this. I believe that people are the most important in our lives, though I am an introvert who can work alone for hours and hours and feel perfect. I love learning new things, planning and making lists, travelling, volunteering, and being with my family in the places of my childhood.

What makes you laugh?
Day-to-day life with my friends and family. I have hundreds of hilarious conversations in my notes.

How would you like to be remembered?
A kind, bold, and unselfish person who stuck to her values and made a difference in other’s lives.

What’s the best holiday you’ve ever had?
It was not actually a holiday, it was volunteering in Kenya. But it was mind-changing, beautiful, fun, and adventurous.  My friend and I went to Kisumu for a month, living in the slums, eating local food, dancing with local people, and watching the best views we had ever seen.

Name three things on your bucket list.
Learn to ski, volunteer in Asia, and write a book.

What’s the best thing about your job?
People, flexibility, good values.
