As part of Macedonia’s commitment to reducing their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, in line with their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), the E Co. team worked with UNDP and the Macedonian government to produce a Third Biennial Update Reports (BUR) on Climate Change. The document now been officially adopted by the government, along with their updated NDCs.

What is a BUR?

A BUR is a Biennial Update Report, or a report that is submitted every two years, to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) by Parties that have ratified the Convention.

You can read the full BUR here.

This Third BUR outlines information on Macedonia’s greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, actions to mitigate GHG emissions, gaps, needs and resources received and details of measurement, reporting and verification method. You can read more about Macedonia’s enhanced NDCs here.
